The Equity Series is a two day virtual professional development event featuring poignant and diverse presenters from the fields of speech language pathology, occupational therapy, school psychology, education, and more.
Speech Language Pathologists are called to provide “competent services to all populations.” The ASHA Code of Ethics requires us all to equitably recognize the cultural and linguistic experiences, or life experiences, of both the professional and those they serve. Becoming a culturally responsive and competent clinician is a lifelong journey that begins with acknowledging the specific and unique needs of all of our clients. It begins with committing to ensuring that our clinical practices support and include those who have been marginalized, underserved, and underrepresented.
Equity Series attendees may earn up to .8 ASHA CEUs while gaining impactful knowledge and strategies through courses created to help clinicians provide culturally responsive evaluation and intervention. Registration includes access to view the conference live May 20-21 or access content on demand at your own pace.
We are the change we have been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.
