Maleah Stewart is a speech-language pathologist (SLP) at North Forsyth Middle School in Forsyth County, Georgia. She has 23 years of experience as a school-based SLP and served as the 2017 Forsyth County Teacher of the Year as well as the 2019 Georgia Teacher of the Year Runner-Up. Maleah earned her Bachelor of Arts from Oglethorpe University, where she was class Valedictorian, and her Master of Education in Communication Disorders from Georgia State University. She earned her Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association in 2000. She serves on the State Superintendent’s Teacher Advisory Council and is an active member of the Georgia Teacher of the Year Association.
