Getting Started with SLP Toolkit

SLP Toolkit is an online platform for SLPs to collect data, administer informal assessments, write goals, and manage their caseload. Participants will learn how to import their caseload, create a schedule, assign and administer tests, generate reports and graphs, lesson plan, and access support materials.

SLP Toolkit is an online platform for SLPs to collect data, administer informal assessments, write goals, and manage their caseload. The presenters will demonstrate how an SLP can use the system in their practice. Participants will learn theory and research behind these core features: digital data collection, Present Level Assessments, progress monitoring with criterion referenced tests and rubrics, writing S.M.A.R.T. goals and lesson planning. Participants will learn how to import their caseload, create a schedule, assign and administer tests, generate reports and graphs, lesson plan, and access support materials. If you are already an SLP Toolkit user, log-in to SLP Toolkit before the session and you can follow along while the presenters demonstrate each process.

Valerie Burnham
M.S. CCC-SLP
Valerie Burnham is an AZ licensed and ASHA certified speech-language-pathologist. She received her undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders from Brigham Young University and her master’s degree from Arizona State University. Valerie started working for SLP Toolkit, an innovative web app, in October 2019. She is passionate about using technology to streamline workflows and keep organized.
Risa Fly
B.S.
Risa Fly worked as a licensed Speech Language Pathology Assistant for three years and has experience in both the school and private practice settings. She earned her Bachelors degree in Communication Disorders from Brigham Young University. In June 2021, she started working for SLP Toolkit as a member of the Customer Happiness Team. She enjoys working with others and finding creative solutions to problems.

6 minutes	Caseload: setting up a caseload and creating new students
20 minutes	Digital Data: creating a therapy schedule, adding student goals/objectives, collecting quantitative and qualitative data in a scheduled therapy event, accessing reports and graphs
8 minutes	Present Level Assessments: accessing, assigning, administering and interpreting Present Level Assessments
8 minutes	Progress Monitoring: accessing, assigning, administering criterion referenced tests and rubrics
8 minutes	Lesson planning: create a plan from scratch, import a lesson plan template, share a plan with other Toolkit users
5 minutes	Accommodations: accessing strategies and accommodations bank
5 minutes	Wrap-up and Support: accessing the knowledge base (tutorial articles and videos), accessing the in-app Resource Center, and contacting the Customer Happiness team in SLP Toolkit
