Research points to clear interventions for kids with dyslexia but the evaluation process can be blurry to most. What's evident is that low expectations for Black children translates into fewer intensive resources to address underlying learning challenges, like dyslexia. The accurate diagnosis of dyslexia can be a game changer for all students, especially those more likely to be punished for falling short, even if the work is too hard for them. This course will address the dyslexia evaluation process and the key principles that impact marginalized students that are under and misdiagnosed.
