This 1-hour training is designed to empower speech-language pathologists (SLPs), educators, and caregivers with practical, evidence-based strategies for modeling language for gestalt language processors (GLPs) who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. Nicole is a certified speech-language pathologist with ten years of experience working with neurodivergent children in a variety of clinical settings. After dreaming about it for a decade, she opened a private practice called Connections Speech Pathology to provide play-based, child-led speech therapy services in her community. Nicole is passionate about providing neurodiversity affirming therapy and beyond to autistic kids in her clinic. She is enthusiastic about supporting gestalt language processors and providing access to AAC to as many children as possible.
Amy Zembriski
MBA, M.S., CCC-SLP
Amy is a certified speech language pathologist with an extensive background working in a variety of settings, including acute care, skilled nursing facilities, schools, early intervention, and private practice. Additionally, she has had past experience working as an adjunct professor supervising graduate students during their diagnostic clinical practicum. Amy has a passion working with and supporting autistic children and their families using neurodiversity affirming practices. She loves working with gestalt language processors and AAC users.
