Unlocking the Power of Gestalt Language Processing

This presentation explores the six stages of Gestalt Language Processing (GLP) and how they shape communication development in autistic individuals and other Gestalt Language Processors. Participants will gain a clear understanding of how language progresses from echolalic “chunks” to flexible, self-generated sentences. The session will highlight practical strategies for supporting children at each stage and will contrast GLP with Analytic Language Processing (ALP) to deepen understanding of both learning styles. Attendees will leave with actionable, neurodiversity-affirming tools to foster authentic communication and celebrate each child’s unique language journey.
